Hajimemashite mina san!
Welcome to my new blog — that comes from deepest of my heart. 🇯🇵💗
This is a quiet little space where I’ll be sharing pieces of Japan through my own eyes: the things I love, the beauty I notice, the curiosities that make me smile.
Expect posts about culture, everyday life, food, traditions, art, and those small magical details that often go unnoticed.
I’m not Japanese — just someone deeply moved by the spirit of this country and its gentle mysteries. This blog is like a little window where the wind carries thoughts from my heart to yours.
🌸 A curiosity about how the blog was born:
Why make a blog about Japan?
I love posting on blogs — I actually have several of them, and even a YouTube channel (I’ll leave the links below).
Japan and its culture live so strongly in me that I wanted to share that love too.
A few days ago, I came across a blog written by a Westerner who shared his love for Japan through blogging, and I thought:
“Why not combine my two passions into one — Blogging and Japan?”
And that’s how Takaramono Blog was born!
Why the name Takaramono Blog?
Well, たからもの (Takaramono) means “treasure” or “something precious.”
The culture and history of a people represent just that — a treasure for that nation. Japanese culture, to me, is something precious, something to be respected and admired… something we can always learn from.
Before deciding on this name, I actually had a huge list of name ideas for the blog — really, a long list! haha
So I asked my boyfriend (who is Japanese, from Fukushima) to help me choose. And this is the name we picked together. ✨
So be welcome and thanks for being here.
ようこそ、来てくれてありがとう!(Yōkoso, kite kurete arigatō!)
Let’s begin this journey together.
Love,
Raquel E.
